Early Access Patch #1


Welcome to the devlog of Rogue Malfunction V0.05 / The new map test because i will be gone for a while and can't work on the game!

If you have object permanence you can probably guess why i'm releasing this when it's only half done.

If not allow me to explain; i will be gone and i dont want to leave nothing before i go so i upload an experimental file (V0.05) so that probably no one will play!

Anyway, here are the patch notes

FIXED BUGS:

  • Escape key will now close the current menu, instead of opening the pause menu.
  • Fixed enemy projectiles sometimes not spawning
  • Fixed the pistols reload animation
  • Fixed wall flying
  • Fixed remaining upgrade points displaying the wrong number
  • Fixed ragdolls sometimes flying away

IMPROVEMENTS:

  • More optimization
  • Saving Data is now a thing (it saves your materials)
  • Slightly improved the range at which you can interact with objects
  • Removed some scripts and assets (should help a wee bit with file size although the new level makes this irrelevant)
  • Made picking up copper slightly less loud
  • Changed all the enemies colours to make it make more sense, metal is usually harder than gold (you'll get used to it)
  • Wallrunning will now only work when you're in the air (trust me its huge)

MORE CONTENT / GAMEPLAY OPTIONS

  • New level!
  • Added very basic checkpoints (you know you hit one if you hear a sound)
  • You can now use the Double Barrel Shotgun.

KNOWN BUGS:

  • The magnet is a very janky tool, i'm actively working on it.
  • If you look directly at a projectile you're controlling, it will come to you and explode in your face (which is kinda funny)
  • Press E to interact prompt sometimes stays after you look away
  • Checkpoint will sometimes just teleport you to your current place.
